Conditions of entry to be imposed on vessels arriving in the United States from the Republic of Yemen
The US Coast Guard has determined that ports in the Republic of Yemen are not maintaining an effective anti terrorism watch. Therefore, effective from 18 September 2012, certain conditions of entry will be imposed on vessels that have visited ports in the Republic of Yemen, with the exception of vessels arriving from the Ash Shihr Terminal, the Balhalf LNG Terminal and the Port of Hodeidah as one of their last five ports of call.
A copy of the US Coast Guard Port Security Advisory (1-12) which outlines the additional measures can be read here.
