North’s SCORA wins SAFETY4SEA Initiative Award
We are proud to have won the 2019 SAFETY4SEA Initiative award for SCORA.
Short for Safety Culture ORganisational Assessment – SCORA is an online tool developed by our loss prevention team that enables shipping companies to gain an insight into their organisation’s capacity for safety. Aimed at safety managers, SCORA delivers an easy to read report that can be used by shipping companies to identify, discuss and develop areas of strength and weakness in their company’s safety management.
North’s loss prevention working groups based in Europe and Asia Pacific were instrumental in guiding the development and testing stages of the project, along with our project partners Green Jakobsen. Many thanks for all their assistance.
Picking up the award last evening, Savraj Mehta said ‘We are delighted to be recognised for this award, since SCORA was launched in March 2019 it has received a lot of interest from shipowner Members. SCORA is a great example of North’s commitment to loss prevention as a key value added service for our Members.’
Over 60 Members have registered their interest and 21 Members have already successfully completed their first assessment.
