Warning on fees at Alexandria anchorage

Alexandria Port Authority has reminded vessels of the fee requirements for anchored vessels.

In their update on Egyptian ports, which can be read here, correspondent Eldib Pandi provides an overview of the latest developments.

This includes a notice issued by the Alexandria Port Authority, concerning the decision to govern control over the outer anchorage area. Referring all shipping agents to Decree No. 2699 (issued in 2019), a vessel will be subject to fees if it fails to notify the port authority that it will drop anchor in the outer anchorage area, whether due to an emergency or otherwise.
