Dry Bulk Inspections – RightShip Inspection Changes
RightShip has set a new age trigger for dry bulk vessel inspections.
The age trigger for a dry cargo inspection for vessels over 8,000 dwt will change from 18 to 14 years old. After this an annual inspection will be required.
This change came into in force on 1 January 2018.
Rightship states that this is to reflect the changing market conditions of the bulk carrier fleet.
