Argentina – Fines for Inaccuracies in Customs Declarations
Following a number of recent cases, Members are reminded to take care when completing customs declarations in Argentinian ports.
North’s P&I correspondent has advised that customs fines are frequently being imposed as a result of misdeclared quantities of fuel oil/bunkers, lube oils, sump tanks, drain tanks, paint and chemicals. This is particularly the case at San Nicolas, but also San Lorenzo, Necochea and Bahia Blanca.
